Every Bag Sold Supports an Artisan Apprentice in Scotland

Supporting Scottish artisans

Our mission is straightforward yet powerful. We create iconic duffel bags that stand the test of time. You buy them. And with every purchase, you’re directly preserving and revitalising skills that have shaped our culture for generations.

Every commission shapes the future of craft, one artisan and one apprentice at a time

How it works

Artisanal Innovation

The impact of artisanal practice reaches far beyond the tangible products created.

Through their craft, artisans develop a keen sense of initiative and an unwavering drive to innovate and push boundaries. This dedication sparks curiosity, fuels creativity, and cultivates critical thinking, allowing artisans to continuously evolve traditional techniques and infuse them with new life.

Artisans

Carry a bag that holds more than just your things

Our artisan apprenticeships are funded by the sale of uniquely craftedduffel bags. Each bag is made by hand in Dunfermline using heavy waxed cotton waste from Dundee, transformed into practical carryalls fit for 21st century living.

Our bags are designed to be timeless, sustainable, and full of character, just
like the explorer, artist, writer and botanist Isobel "Tuluk" Wylie Hutchison who inspired us to launch.

Artisan

Help inspire, guide, and contribute to a shared legacy of craftsmanship, upholding traditions that bind us together.

Apprentice

Our apprenticeship programme
seeks to make artisan practices culturally, economically and socially relevant for the next generations

Bag

Every purchase directly funds an apprenticeship, supporting the future of craft and investing in something truly unique

Isobel 'Tuluk' Wylie Hutchison

Inspired by Isobel “Tuluk” Wylie Hutchison, a 20th Century botanist, Arctic explorer, artist, and writer, an Edinburgh local hero whose life embodied community, sustainability and Scottish resourcefulness.

A rebel of her time. Isobel’s faith in community and deep love of nature and creativity helped her overcome adversity in the most challenging situations. That along with her grit, warmth, and unflappable determination.
