A North Uist Weaver
Supporting the work of artisan Weaver Marie Melnyczuk and apprentice Lindsey Grimshaw.
Marie is preserving a craft that tells the story of place, heritage, and sustainability. Working on two heritage timber looms, weaving entirely by hand and sourcing materials locally.
Together we can fund the skills needed to keep them watertight for future generations.
Glasgow ceramicist and mould maker
Support a Glasgow ceramicist Anna Samson and apprentice.
Glasgow based artisan, Anna received a Masters Degree in Ceramics-Product Design from the Art Academy in Wroclaw, Poland. Creating functional porcelainware, and working with the slip casting method using handmade plaster models and moulds.
Anna’s inspiration comes from nature.
Spinning, hand knitting and pattern design
Support Carey Brett and a graduate apprentice to understand wool combinations through spinning, pattern deisgn and hand knitting.
Carey Brett, a talented graduate of the Scottish College of Textiles, Galashiels in 1988, went on to work as a freelance pattern writer and sample maker which involved hand and domestic machine knit, crochet and sewing skills.
Carey interpreted and translated ideas and sketches for production, including catwalk items, fabric swatches and accessories
