We’re a social enterprise on a mission to conserve Scotland’s traditional artisan skills – funding apprenticeships to enable future generations of makers to flourish and endure.
Artisans are the people who champion local materials, heritage techniques, and the sustainable practices that keep our culture alive. At Tuluk, we believe in the power of craftsmanship to make a positive impact on individuals, communities and economies and we know we’re not alone.
A simple solution
Our apprenticeships are funded by the sale of uniquely crafted duffel bags, made in Dunfermline using dead stock from heavy waxed cotton waste, and is transformed into practical carryalls fit for 21st century living. Each is a nod to history and a vote for craftsmanship.
Our bags are designed to be timeless, sustainable, and full of character, just like the explorer, artist, writer and botanist Isobel "Tuluk" Wylie Hutchison who inspired us to launch.
Be the change
With every purchase, you’re directly funding an apprenticeship, supporting the future of craft and investing in something truly unique.
You are warmly invited to our launch pop-up, supporting our weaver apprenticeship on the Outer Hebrides. On sale for the first time, unique commissions of hand crafted pieces from Scottish artisans we’ve worked with over the last 10 years. See link below for tickets.
Please share, follow @tuluk.uk and sign up www.tuluk.uk to learn about the pieces available over the coming weeks.
Each entry and piece you buy funds an apprenticeship and empowers skilled artisans to pass on their craft.
